Requirements for a Minor in Classical Studies
Any five
courses in:
Classical Studies (CL);
Greek (GR) and/or Latin (LA);
approved courses in ancient art (AH);
approved courses in ancient philosophy (PH);
approved courses in ancient literature in translation (EN);
approved courses in ancient history (HI).
These are minimum requirements; additional courses may be taken.
Use your
core courses for a Minor in Classical Studies:
CL115 (Greek Civilization), CL116 (Roman Civilization), and other courses
dealing with ancient history may be used to fulfill the core requirement in History.
CL103/EN203
(Masterpieces of Greek Literature in Translation), CL104/EN204 (Masterpieces of
Roman Literature in Translation), and other courses dealing with Greek and
Roman literature may be used to fulfill the core requirement in Literature.
Latin and Greek courses may be taken to fulfill the core requirement in Foreign
Language.
Approved courses may be taken to fulfill core requirements in Visual and
Performing Arts and in Philosophy.
