Cinefest Fairfield is a very popular annual film festival of student films from Fairfield's Film,Television and Media Arts program. A judging panel comprised of faculty members from the New Media Program, other departments, and university staff choose from dozens of submissions. The films are screened in the 800 seat Kelley Theater in Fairfield's Quick Center for the Arts. Finalists win awards in writing, cinematography, directing, production design, editing, and sound design. An 'Audience Choice' award is also determined by the Cinefest audience immediately after the screenings.
