ADJECTIVES

Adjectives always have the same case, number and gender as the noun they describe.

When reading, match adjectives to nouns by their case, number and gender.

Degrees of adjectives:

adjectives can be positive (the ordinary form), comparative ("more"), and superlative ("most")

for most adjectives the comparative has the suffix -ter- at the end of the stem (e.g.
        a)ciw//teroj, "worthier")

and for the superlative the suffix -tat- at the end of the stem (e.g. a)ciw//tatoj,
    "worthiest")

a small number of irregular adjectives have a third declension comparative stem ending in -<i>on- [nominative -<i>wn, neuter -<i>on] and  a superlative stem ending in -ist-:
