Tuesday, December 3, 2013 - Faculty research talk featured Shannon Gerry, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Biology, who presented her talk entitled, "The influence of body shape on swimming performance in Bluegill." View the complete abstract.



Wednesday, March 12, 2014 -
Sigma Xi Distinguished Lecturer, W. R. Klemm, Ph.D. was the featured lecturer this year. Bill is a professer of neuroscience at Texas A&M University. The university community is invited and encouraged to attend his talk entitled, "Atoms of Mind: The 'Ghost in the Machine' Materializes."

Dr. Klemm presented a second talk, "Better Grades, Less Effort" on March 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the Library Multimedia Room.

Thursday, April 24, 2014 - 14th Annual Student Poster Session was once again held in conjunction with the Undergraduate Research Symposium. The Sigma Xi session was held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Barone Campus Center and featured 49 projects involving 92 students in scientific research. View event booklet. View Photos.


This years Sigma Xi Reception and Induction Ceremony was held on May 12, 2014 (DATE CHANGE!) in the Alumni House Brennan Room. Sixteen students and four faculty members were officially inducted into our chapter - View Photos.
