November 30, 2017 - This year's Distinguished Lecture Seminar featured Dr. Paul Anastas, Professor at Yale University in the Department of Chemistry, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and the School of Management. His talk entitled, "Sustainable Design, Innovation, and Designing Tomorrow," is presented for general audiences. Click the links for a short biography and talk abstract.


Thursday, February 22, 2018- Faculty research talk featured Dr. Catherine Andersen, Assistant Professor of Biology. Dr. Andersen's talk entitled, "The Role of Diet, Lipid Metabolism, and Immune Function in Human Health," was well attended.



Thursday, April 26, 2018 - The 18th Annual Student Poster Session was held in conjunction with the full day celebration of undergraduate participation in research and creative activities. The Sigma Xi session was held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Barone Campus Center Lobby and featured 74 projects involving 152 students in scientific research. This years Sigma Xi Reception and Induction Ceremony was held on Monday, May 14, 2018 in the Alumni House Brennan Room. Sixteen students and three faculty members were officially inducted into our chapter.
