The General Faculty of the University is composed of all full-time The General Faculty of the University is composed of all full-time University faculty members with the rank of Instructor or above, the President of the University, the Provost, the Academic Deans (i.e., the Deans of the Schools and the Dean of the Library). Other persons may be appointed as members of the General Faculty by the President upon the recommendation of the Academic Council. All members of the faculty as described above have the right to vote at meetings of the General Faculty (Fairfield University Faculty Handbook, p. 1).
