The Events of 2004-2005

Thursday, October 7, 2004 - Nora Lopez '02, represented our Sigma Xi chapter as a partipant in the honor society processional during the Investiture Ceremony of Rev. Jeffrey P. von Arx, S.J. Father von Arx was being invested as the eighth president of the university.


Tuesday, February 8, 2005 - Distinguished Lecturer, Dr. Irwin Goldman, Professor of Horticulture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, presented his talk, "Take two onions and call me in the morning: The human health potential of vegetables."


Thursday, April 14, 2005 - Shannon Harding, Assistant Professor of Psychology, is the next featured lecturer of our seminar series. The topic entitled, "Sex, Drugs and Videotape: Current studies of the hypothalamus and male rat reproductive behaviors," will take place at 4:30 p.m. in the School of Nursing Auditorium, Room 203.


Thursday, April 21, 2005 - Fifth-Annual Sigma Xi Poster Session was held in the MacDonnell Atrium of the Bannow Science Center from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students are invited to formally present their research posters - view list of abstracts here.


Tuesday, May 17, 2005 - The Fairfield University Chapter's Year-End Reception and Induction Ceremony took place at 11:30 a.m. in the Alumni House. This event is restricted to members and invited students. Click here to view the event scrapbook.
